"My husband Kim was diagnosed with early onset dementia in 2020. As he began to deteriorate it was no longer possible to care for him at home and he ended up in Redlands hospital dementia ward in late 2022 for five months.
Not knowing the system and thinking that a nursing home was the only option I was so happy to hear about SILS Supported Independent Living Services. Mana Wellness was highly recommended so after meeting Selena Kim was placed in a fabulous home where he had his own space around him and of course a lot of care and support. From then on, my family and I continued to be amazed and grateful of the level of genuine care Kim was given. His support team became an extension of our family. Although extremely professional there was also a great level of love given to Kim and myself. Talk about above and beyond during the cyclone when Kim's home lost power Selena was worried about Kim's reaction and invited Kim and his carer into her own home for comfort.
